Come visit our food truck! We aim to add a little Cambodian spice to the Canadian palette. We don’t just serve Rice+Soup, the two words in the Khmer language (bai+salaw) actually means to have a meal, so come and enjoy a variety of food.

SMALL DISHES

lemongrass chicken, chrouk (pickles), and vermicelli noodles. Served with tirk trey paem for dipping.

Mixed greens, granny apple, crispy pork belly, cabbage slaw, red onions, mint leaves and tossed in tirk trey paem.

Delicious pork curry dip made with kroeung, curry spices, coconut and herbs. Served with fresh seasonal vegetables to dip.

RICE PLATES - BAI

Choice of lemongrass CHICKEN, or crispy PORK BELLY, fresh cucumber, herbs, papaya salad, and a side of Cambodian sweet and sour sauce, with rice pilaf.

Beef roasted in curry spices, carrots, potato, green beans, peanuts and herbs, with rice pilaf and papaya salad.

NOODLE PLATES - NOM BANCHOK

Seasonal fish, light coconut curry broth and rice vermicelli noodles. Topped with fresh cucumber, green beans, beansprout, peanuts, lime and herbs.

Beef, carrots, and 5-spice in a slow cooked beef broth, and rice vermicelli noodles. Topped with fresh cucumber, beansprout, lime and herbs.

CAMBODIAN SANDWICH (NUM PANG)

Choice of lemongrass CHICKEN, crispy PORK BELLY, or roasted CAULIFLOWER (VF), topped with fresh cucumbers, jalapeno, cilantro and pickled papaya, with spicy mayo on a baguette, comes with a side of chips

A LITTLE HISTORY

RICE+SOUP is a staple in Cambodian cuisine. Growing up, we can’t remember a time when a meal with soup didn’t have rice. Lots of meals were only RICE+SOUP…and we loved them.

That soup can take so many forms. Whether it’s a rich broth for noodles, a festive curry, or just a warm and simple stock to end a meal: there’s got to be soup.

When we came up with our concept, we wanted to share Cambodian food, culture, and history with you. It had to be honest. It had to be something that our people ate day in, day out: something they can’t go without.

We hope our little truck can sprinkle a bit of Cambodian spice to this dish called Canada, and that your palate will fall in love with the vibrant flavours of our culture.
